ACG (All Conditions Gear) were developed to handle the outdoor elements where water resistance and durability are key. With this in mind Nike has created a AF1 mid that mirror some of the ACG design and color palettes. Equipped with boot laces and ballistic nylon mesh,  set on the classic AF1 silhouette the shoe has mass appeal and flavor. 

FEEL THE VIBE

In commemorating Vibe Magazine on their 15th anniversary Adidas is set to release a super limited Forum Mid on September 25th. There will only be 1500 pairs of the Adidas Forum Mid XVIBE produced and the shoe is a definite collectors item and one that shouldn't be slept on. As you can see the design of the shoe is crazy, utilizing patent leather in a "scale" like pattern on the upper with special laces that tie back into the Adidas trademark 3 stripes. www.shopadidas.com

ILLY DELPH's FINEST

With legendary 76'er Dr Jay stamping his place in history with his gravity defying play on the court as well as his iconic Converse signature sneakers he sport while doing it. Now Converse has another 76'er ready to take their signature shoe business to the next level, his name is Elton brand and his shoe is the EB1. 

The EB1 is set to be released in mid fall available exclusively at JC Penny's, a store Elton used to frequent often with his mom growing up. What makes the EB1 proper is the price tag, coming in at $65 and having all the performance attributes of basketball kicks double it's price is a good look, for your feet and your pockets.

Adidas Goes for Gold, Silver, and Bronze

With Adidas providing footwear and apparel for 26 of the 28 events in this years Beijing Olympic games, for the first time the 3 stripes will be offering it's footwear to the public. To all you weekend power lifters you now how some kicks to cop. 

What stood out most to me was the Adidas MEAGABOUNCE + METAL PACK. This pack consist of the Megabounce silo but created in metallic Gold, Silver, and Bronze colorways. Limited quantities (300 each color) and limited locations (NY, LV, & SF) this so be a nice addition to the collection. Price at $130 it's within reason.

Jordan Olympia

With the Olympics starting up 8/8/08 everyone has their eyes on the USA Basketball team. Me however have my eyes on their feet. At the USAB press outing I was able to talked to Hornet Phenom Chris Paul and noticed he wasn't wearing any Olympic  CP3's in the games but instead a sneaker called the "Jordan Olympia" 

The Olympia takes design direction from the Jordan X but there's a common "United We Rise" theme that for the first time will be used between Nike, Jordan and Converse brands (Lebron, Paul, and Wade). This consist of a laser pattern with a winged "United We Rise" symbol. The Olympia is going on sale Aug 9, 2008 and will have a tag of $125 .
